The Verona Wildcats topped Madison La Follette 55-14 on Friday night at Lussier Stadium.

Verona's defense came up big early, forcing a Lancers fumble deep in their own territory. The recovery by Jassam Saqr led to a Wildcats touchdown.

Quarterback Jake Hauser followed his blockers for a 23-yard touchdown run. That put Verona up 14-0.

In the second quarter, Hauser found Alex Watzke for a 30-yard touchdown.
