Alligators, deep fried Oreos and equestrian artists -- just a taste of what the 159th Dane County Fair has to offer.

In addition to eight barns full of animals, you’ll find great food, enticing commercial exhibits and loads of fabulous entertainment.

The fair opens on Wednesday, July 14 and runs through Sunday, July 18.

The midway features thrilling rides for both adults and young children and and free on-ground entertainers include Kachunga and the Alligator, Cavallo Equestrian Arts, Ron Diamond -- Magician and Hypnotist and Kids Celebration Family Stage Show.

There will also be special performances by the Poynette Marching Band on Friday afternoon and the Fabulous Farm Babe Pam Jahnke's Tractor Parade on Saturday morning.

Bay Creek Neighborhood Works To Show Off Area Businesses

On Saturday, July 10, the Bay Creek Neighborhood Association is hosting a Visioning Session to create a stronger vision for Lakeside Street and identify strategies that will support and enhance the corridor as a neighborhood business district.
