Man Arrested On 6th OWI Charge | Crime

A Madison man was arrested on a charge of sixth-offense operating a vehicle while intoxicated Saturday night.

Madison police said a caller to the Dane County 911 Center reported a reckless driver traveling outbound on Fish Hatchery Road from South Park Street at about 10 p.m. Saturday.

A Madison Police Department sergeant saw the vehicle driving erratically and conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Fish Hatchery Road, according to a police incident report.

Police said that as a result of the investigation, the driver, Andrew B. Lamont, 44, was arrested on a charge of sixth-offense OWI and booked in the Dane County Jail.
