Police: Man pulls gun in road rage incident on Greenway Cross

Police said a man pulled a gun on another motorist at a south side Madison restaurant parking lot Friday in a road rage incident.

The Madison Police Department said a Brodhead man pulled into a parking lot at the 1500 block of Greenway Cross at 5:50 p.m. and heard another driver yelling. The other driver, who had pulled in just behind him, accused the 58-year-old of cutting him off.

According to the report, when the Brodhead man said he hadn't cut him off, the other driver threatened to shoot him and pulled what appeared to be a 9mm semiautomatic pistol.

Both men drove off, police said.

The man with the gun was described as black, between 30 to 40 years old, and 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, police said. He was wearing a dark jacket and drove a black SUV with temporary plates.

The report noted the SUV was possibly an older Toyota Rav4.
